This AED was designed to automatically analyse the data received on the patient’s heart rhythm and implement the necessary treatment procedure. The device is able to deliver shock within just 8 seconds. This sort of fast reaction is crucial when it comes to avoiding brain damage due to irregular heart rhythm.
The Philips HeartStart AED is operated in three simple steps: switch on the device, stick the pads, and trigger shock delivery. All the steps are followed by voice prompts and maximally simplified to enable widespread treatment of cardiac arrhythmia. In addition, the SmartLink’s 3-step setup was designed to auto-start its built-in self- test functionality feature and make the use even more accessible.
The SmartLink unit is integrated with sophisticated software that is able to track your AED’s location and status. It will provide weekly status reports on your AED, or daily ones in case of an error. The SmartLink Remote AED Control unit is able to connect to multiple AEDs and it does so completely wirelessly, using the available networks. It also comes with its own power source system, conveniently requiring minimal maintenance. The SmartLink device complies with international safety standards and fulfils the requirements of CE, R&TTE, PTCRB and FCC.
